Paraprofessionals play an essential role within school districts.   Under the supervision of a licensed teacher, a paraprofessional   supports teachers and students in many ways. For instance, a   paraprofessional can tutor students or assist the teacher with   managing the classroom and organizing instructional materials.

 Lake Land College Center for Business and Industry is a provider of   testing in the Applied Mathematics/Applied Math and Reading for   Information/Workplace Documents examinations. Testing preparation and examinations are by appointment only and are non-refundable.

Requirements to obtain a Paraprofessional License in the State of Illinois are below: At least 19 years of age AND possess one of the following: An Associate's Degree or Higher OR 60 semester hours of coursework OR high school diploma/GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro Exam OR high school diploma/GED and a score of 4 or higher on the ACT WorkKeys Applied Mathematics AND Workplace Documents Exams
