Course Description

The Aggregate Technician Course is a 5-day course.

Students will obtain information on the origin, handling and testing of aggregates. Upon successful completion of this course, a technician will be able to administer and do the testing required for an aggregate producer and/or supplier participating in the Aggregate Gradation Control System.

This course, or CET-020, Mixture Aggregate Technician Course, is a prerequisite for Hot-Mix Asphalt Level I (CET-029) and is also required for PCC Level II (CET-024) certification.

According to new IDOT regulations, this course certificate will require re-certification every five years.

Students who possess a current Mixture Aggregate Technician certification and wish to get their 5-Day Aggregate Technician certificate need to register for CET-027, Mixture Aggregate Technician Upgrade Course.
